Background

For more than eight years I worked as the main producer for Uppsala’s municipal council meetings. This included managing the full multi-camera production, live streaming setup, and ensuring reliable delivery to the public through their official channel.

My Role

• Produced the municipal council sessions with multi-camera setups and real-time switching.
• Designed, improved and maintained their streaming workflows over the years.
• Provided ongoing technical consulting on AV infrastructure and streaming best practices.
• Diagnosed and solved AV issues related to signal routing, encoding, audio, and network reliability.

Latest Update (2024–2025)

Uppsala Kommun is now transitioning to a new streaming workflow based on an Epiphan Pearl-2 encoder.
My role in this phase includes:

• Supervising the implementation and technical configuration of the new unit.
• Ensuring the workflow meets long-term reliability and quality standards.
• Coordinating with an external production company that will take over on-site operations.
• Providing consulting and oversight to guarantee a smooth handover and future-proof solution.

Impact

Over eight years, the municipality achieved consistent, high-quality livestreams of their council meetings, with clear processes and AV workflows that reduced downtime, improved reliability and increased transparency for the local community.
